چکیده

Massive tubule fibrosis is a histopathology hallmark of chronic renal failure (CRF). The previous study protein hydrolysate green pea (Pisum sativum) bromelain (PHGPB) showed promising results as an antifibrosis in glucose-induced mesangial culture cells, by decreasing their TGF-? levels. In this experiment the anti-inflammatory, anti-fibrotic effect PHGPB Cisplatin-induced (CRF) rats was measured. purpose to evaluate anti-inflammatory and rats. Five groups consisted five rats: negative control, Cisplatin three Cisplatin+PHGPB (dose 100, 200, 400 mg/kg BW/day) treated for 56 days. examined parameters are Beta-2-microglobulin (?2MG), hs-CRP, histopathological observations Masson's trichrome stain, IHC. level ?2MG hs-CRP group lowered highly different from control (p<0.05) depending on doses. histopathology, BW less no significant difference with Masson trichome staining. While IHC treatment slightly ameliorated expression intensity values convincingly. conclusion, can relieve kidney cisplatin-induced nephrotoxicity Emphasis activities.

Kidney therapeutic potential of peptides derived from the bromelain hydrolysis of green peas protein

Objective(s): Kidney disease is a global health problem that needs a solution to its therapy. In the previous study, we found that protein hydrolysate of green peas origin of Indonesia hydrolysed by bromelain (PHGPB) showed improve kidney function in cisplatin-induced nephropathy rats. In this study, we investigated the effect of PHGPB to obtain effective dose that exe...

Effect of Simvastatin on Cisplatin-induced Nephrotoxicity in Male Rats

Statins have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects that are not directly related to their cholesterol-lowering activity. This study aimed to investigate the effect of simvastatin on the extent of tissue damage in cisplatin-induced nephrotoxicity. Simvastatin was orally given to rats in different doses (1, 2 and 4 mg/kg), 1 h prior to cisplatin injection (5 mg/kg, i.p.). All animals we...

Emodin Attenuates Bleomycin-Induced Pulmonary Fibrosis via Anti-Inflammatory and Anti-Oxidative Activities in Rats

BACKGROUND Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) can severely damage lung function, which may result in death. Emodin is a major ingredient of rhubarb and has been proven to protect against lung disruptions. Our study focused on the potential medicinal effect of emodin against IPF. MATERIAL AND METHODS The experiment subjects were fully-grown male Sprague-Dawley rats with average weight of 180-22...

Cardiovascular baroreflex sensitivity attenuates by cisplatin-induced toxicity in rats

Introduction: Cisplatin (CP) therapy may disturb cardiovascular system control. The objective of this study was to find baroreflex sensitivity (BRS) in CP-induced nephrotoxicity in rats. Materials and Methods: Eighteen male and female Wistar rats were randomly assigned to two groups treated with CP (2.5 mg/kg/day) and the vehicle, for five consecutive days, and then were subjected to surgical ...
